Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a 6-year professional degree recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India under the Pharm.D. Regulations 2008. It is India's highest-level clinical pharmacy qualification — designed to produce pharmacists who actively contribute to patient care alongside physicians and nurses.
Unlike B.Pharm which focuses on manufacturing and dispensing, Pharm.D graduates are trained as clinical pharmacists — managing drug therapy, counselling patients, reviewing prescriptions, and working directly in hospital wards, ICUs, and specialty clinics.
At HIP, the Pharm.D is PCI approved, with a full herbal garden, instrument lab (HPLC, UV Spectrophotometer)
